With all the commotion about blacks and Prop 8 you would think that Obama's decision to put a pro gay marriage black minister (and civil rights icon) would have people singing from the rooftops. It makes a bold statement and I bet that Lowrey will use that benediction to talk about civil rights for all. But I guess its easier to see the glass as half empty.
