16. Like we have a choice
She's a shoo in. I got some recorded call from her asking for help getting singatures for her petition or donating or some crap. Felt like calling back and saying "you don't need me, you've got Citibank." Debbie's safe. The election, like most congressional elections in this country, is a mere formality.

She's socially liberal, but economically, a corporate sell out. She gets half credit. That's still better than any friggin right wing MI Republican nut job who is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amway. But I find it hard to be motivated to lift a finger to help her at all. She's not worthy of the effort (and others are or may be), she doesn't need it, and my time is scarce.

She'll get my vote based upon the very remote risk that it might prevent someone worse from winning. Nothing more.

So on Election Day, if it makes you feel good, cast your lone vote for Michigan's United States Senator for some organic turd farmer with a snowball's chance in hell running as a Green, or just refuse to vote on that portion of the ballot. At that point, it really doesn't make a damn bit of difference. There's no Ralph Nader running, so there's little risk that enough other liberals will defect and a majority of the "swing voter" sheeple who even bother to turn out are going to vote for her anyway.
