I desperately wish I could go hibernate for the next 4 years. I've lived through the Vietnam war era, Nixon, Ford, B*sh 1 and 2. I've marched and protested and campaigned and donated money and gone door-to-door and worked at the polls and made phone calls and much much more.

Everything seems futile. It's nice that Kerry and Boxer stood up today, but I'm so afraid they will get the Wellstone treatment eventually.

My parents came here from Estonia for freedom, after World War 2 and displaced person camps. It would be a bitter irony if I end up fleeing to Estonia for freedom and to protect my daughters from being drafted.
