Tom Ridge has resigned. What the hell is going on in Washington? This makes 7 top cabinet members who have resigned. Is this odd? I can understand why Colin left. I can understand why Tenet left. What's the deal with Ridge? Any thoughts? Does anyone think this is something like the rats leaving a sinking ship? Could the information in Madsen Reports be true?

I find his story to be a bit far-fetched. There are massive holes in the sroty that would need to be filled to close the credibility gap in my mind. But if the story is true, then would the Homeland Security cheif believe his reputation might be in jeopardy? This seems like a very odd and unexpected resignation. I was hoping to get some further thoughts from DUer's on this as it appliws to the Madsen report or the vote in PA.

Sincerely,
Michael Lewis
