1. The funders of these organizations are usually corporate a-holes who wish to destroy public ed
A lot of the groups affiliated with Don't Hold Us Back, are completely ignorant of how damaging this organization is for their schools...

For example, Educate Our State, while concerned with the underfunding of schools, are allied with this bullshit organization, Don't Hold Us Back.

The Wats/Century Latino Organization is also clueless.

Also, many of the groups affiliated with Don't Hold Us Back, are themselves being funded by corporate a-holes: banks, etc.

For example, Communities of Teaching Excellence has a list of funders that count a huge number of banks among them, and real estate corporations.

The Youth Policy Institute has a list of funders that reads like a who's who of corporate a-holes. For ex:

JPMorgan Chase
Citi Community Development
California Community Foundation
Weingart Foundation
California Emerging Technology Fund
Starbucks Foundation
Microsoft
Verizon
Washington Mutual
Oracle
AT&T
SBC

The problem is that the lines fade and good groups are being funded by corporate a-holes, and that ends up with schools and teaching being destroyed. It's important to point out within these groups, that they're being funded by the very enemy, and influenced by the enemy to undermine schools and teachers, and slowly destroy our public education system.

From my point of view, the best way to stop these groups, is to gather a group of folks aware of this, make a list of these organizations, divided them up, and start posting like CRAZY the list of corporate funders, and what these a-holes really intend to do to public education and teaching.

Just my opinion.
