THERE'S the greatest tragedy; millions of species are swiftly going extinct worldwide, and soon the ONLY place to see these amazing creatures will be in zoos! Habitat preservation is one of the most important issues for all those who care about the welfare of animals.

On the plus side; at least this site requires licensing and permits. Many do not. Apes, big cats, and many other wild animals should never be sold to private individuals who aren't in it for the purposes of conservation! I have a friend who is involved in a cheetah recovery program; she's expecting a cub soon, but the cub WON'T be a "pet"; she'll be used in breeding programs aimed at maintaining genetic diversity with the hope of saving the species.
