2. Richard Hoover might be doing a service
even if he is a crackpot, by introducing people to the idea that the earth probably isn't the only place that has developed life. It's an idea whose time has certainly come, supplanting all that earth as the center of the universe horseshit.

Too bad he's a total screwball.
