 :hi:

The unavoidable sparring with dolts was the price paid for having the audacity to think that women belong at the big table and don't need to create a Pink Ghetto for girl talk or a semi-secret safe zone for people who think Feminism is the radical notion that women are people.

After many, many :boring: many attempts to communicate with the obstinately obtuse, thereby learning that perhaps there really is more can't than won't involved in their stunted attitudes, I let slip the not-so-nice IMHO that sexist bigotry makes people seem ignorant.

The big table has been overrun recently by Beavis & Butthead and the whole gang............... the language every day seems so dumbed down and crude............

I advocated for the right of the Pink Ghetto and the FG to form-- and also for the right to not have to RETREAT in order to be a part of this supposed community.

Tonight I remember that the real reason that certain language is objectionable is that it conveys the ignorance of the writers, it "cheapens the discourse for everyone," it makes it harder and harder to tell the RW phonies from the dem dolts and crowds out the better nature and true potential of the board.
