Do you ever root for teams from BLUE states to kick teams from RED states?

Ok, this is not the most compelling question of the day - but in the mood to keep it easy:D

Leaving out teams from your home state or region, if you have no other geographic connect or interest in them; do you ever root for a victor based on how the majority of their fan base voted?

I'm not a Viking or a Cowboy fan, but ya bet I'll root for Minnesota to kick Dallas in a match up. For that matter, far prefer the Michigan Wolverines (solid BLUE state) to beat out (in rankings) the Oklahoma Sooners (yukky RED). And ANY team from Massachusetts should trounce any team from Alabama! Its not rational, but I feel like all those red voters deserve to get their team's ass kicked for being stupid enough to vote for BushCo. Anyone else feel the same?

Good thing I live in BLUE Washington. Go Seahawks! :headbang:
