33. Every crime investigation looks at opportunity and motive.
Nobody in the media has ever covered these fundamentals of detective work with regards to the anthrax attacks. If they did, the fingers would be pointing to somebody close to the Bush administration if not a part of it. Somebody who had opportunity to acquire weapons-grade access. Somebody who was skilled in assassination. Somebody with an intelligence background. Somebody who had an axe to grind and something to gain.

Think about it. Leahy and Daschle were going to get the love letters because one was against the Patriot Act and the other was the accidental Senate Majority Leader, respectively. Everybody else who got the love letters were just gravy to the fear-mongers, but they "deserved" the missives... if you were mailing the anthrax.

• Dan Rather: Ambushed Bush 41 in a live interview on TV in 1988 regarding his ties to Iran/Contra
• Tom Brokaw: Big man in the Sierra Club
• Peter Jennings: Dated Hanan Ashrawi, female spokesperson of Palestinians
• New York Post: Although a Murdoch paper, it first exposed Bush 41's affair with Jennifer Fitzgerald and publicly named her
• National Enquirer: Posted pictures of the Bush twins drunk while underage

Go ahead, say I have a tinfoil hat. But who else has such opportunity and motive that isn't tied to the Bush family?
