1. I just saw this post.... and wondered if the 'rocking'..
isn't kind of a stress reliever... I remember my son, rocking his head as a young child when he became ill once... it was the one time he stayed in his crib all day... which was very unusual, of course.

Perhaps we got him antibiotics, and he cleared up in a day or two..... but the head rocking became a habit.... I think the rhythmic motion soothed him in some way... so for years and years later... he rocked his head to get to sleep.
after the chemo stopped, I constantly felt anxious about it's return. Until a wise Oncologist said this to me:

"We cure lymphoma, so that you can carry on with your life.... and not become phobic about bacteria !"

(I was contemplating returning to work: in the health care profession) ... but after that... all I heard when my mind started to focus on "could that be the cancer returning".... Is that lovely Dr's rather commanding voice " We CURE lymphoma, so you can return to your life..

"We CURE lymphoma".....and my mind and my whole self is eased... Because in our heart & soul we feel that the Dr tells the truth!

He did me a great favour, a very perceptive physician.

The stress and angst are sometimes hard to deal with...

Good Luck .. and Best Wishes... and listen to my Dr's voice... :)
