I don't think someone who eats breakfast at IHOP is likely to be "rich," in any event. If I were rich I certainly wouldn't be eating there. But the fact, like it or not, is that the service industry depends rather considerably on expenditures of discretionary income. We really don't NEED any restaurants at all; let's just abolish them and then all those stinkin' rich people who patronize IHOP and Denny's will have to eat at home like us peasants. And all the people whose jobs depend on restaurants and bars and cafes and hotels can just find some other way to make a living.
