You know, though, the most frightening precedence with Reagan was probably the fact that he got benefit of the doubt (Iran Contra, murderous policies in Central America, etc, his use and exploitation or racism--Cadillac welfare moms) because he was "affable" and later because it was assumed he was the puppet of others exploiting his Alzheimers. How very similar to Bush*, where the anger and focus of war crimes is clearly on Cheney and his henchmen, rather than on Bush* himself.
