It is so funny thought I would share it. I might add this person must have dementia when it comes to republican decorum.

A "handwritten note" of apology may be an adequate personal gesture by the clown from Minnesota but the response of the Senate leadership (both majority and minority leaders) should be to publicly reprimand him for his flagrant misuse of the dais and his disregard for the traditional decorum and highly sophisticated patterns of respect that make the US Senate a model for deliberative democracy. For all the problems, controversies and intense cultural conflicts of this particular time in American history, the traditions of the Senate are still of immense value - even if they may seem a bit forced at times. It has served the American people quite well for the past 2 and a quarter centuries to know that in that most exclusive deliberative body in the world, Senators speak of one another generally in the third person, with such descriptive phrases of their opponents as "the gentleman from Colorado" or the "gentle lady from Arkansas" so that even when bitterly divided on an issue, there is a basic sense of decency and honor maintained by such thoughtfulness. Franken is a flagrant violator of those traditions. His juvenile antics while Senator McConnell was speaking about one of the most important acts the Senate performs (advice and consent regarding a Supreme Court nominee) are worse than a personal insult. Franken insulted all the other 99 senators and in turn insulted the American people. One modest suggestion: Ban Franken from presiding for at least the next Congressional Session and place a public reprimand for his juvenile behavior in the Congressional Record. At least do that. The Senator from Minnesota needs to be publicly scorned for his disrespectful behavior. IMHO.
