expecting it and relentlessly trashing anything short of that goal as a sell-out to corporate is another

I want universal single payer healthcare.
I want the wars to end.
I want the pentagon budget slashed in half.
I want the banks nationalized.
I want a social safety net that eliminates the possibility of hunger, homelessness, lack of education, or other basic rights
I want the workers of the world to unite and cast of the chains of oppression from our capitalist overlords

but I would be a goddamn fool if I expected those things to happen with the government we have, spent my days whining about it not happening, and dismissing any move towards those ideals as not good enough and a personal betrayal.
