| Could the Repukes have a Secret Weapon? |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 05:20 PM by Mike03
Call me paranoid, but I'm suspicious that the Republicans have someone waiting in the wings to jump into this race. The reason I worry about this is because their slate of candidates is the most pathetic bunch of oligophrenics I have ever seen in my short life here on this planet.
They've got at least one completely insensitive, warmongering and probably senile candidate (McCain), at least one retarded candidate (Thompson), one candidate who is so corrupt that if he is the nominee he will be so badly beaten and disgraced by the race that he will never be able to return to public life again (Guiliani), and one demented Fundamentalist who may cultivate the support of the extreme far right but has no hope at all of winning any elections (Huckabee).
Either the other side has decided to just throw in the towel, or they have something up their sleeve.
Could it be a bogus "Independent" (like Lieberman) who is a Repuke in sheep's clothing. A few months ago I was worried about Trent Lott, but he's out of the way.
Naturally, I hope it's the former, but I fear it might be the latter, although I can't predict or even imagine who they might have jump into the race at this point.
How could any of their nominees beat any of ours? I have spun this a thousand different ways, and every time we come out the victors. But it feels too easy. What am I missing?
Or maybe, with any luck, it really will be this easy.
