I mean who among us has not gotten fed up on some online forum, declared that they were leaving and then snuck back to read the replies?

Actually I really did get really fed up and left a forum without looking back (or even coming back to see anyone's response). That happened shortly after Kerry lost, and someone decided to continue his website (renaming it something like common ground common sense) and I said that I thought it was time for the Democratic Party to make some adjustments and compromise on a few of our most liberal talking points, for the sake of regaining the Presidency. Lesser of two evils, either make small compromises on your platform or see the Repugs win again and again. I was shouted down, and so I decided that the people who were still around simply could not accept anything but the most extreme point of view nor listen to any kind of reason. So it was time to go. Never looked back on that one. In fact I stayed off all forums from that point on.. till now. Aren't y'all LUCKY?
