Daniel Schorr's Proposal: Make Health Care Part of Pentagon Budget
Advertisements [?]
Yesterday on NPR Daniel Schorr was decrying the lack of health care in this country, particularly for uninsured children. He described the governor's convention where the governors were talking about how much money was needed for the CHIPs program to insure children through the states.

They were not optimistic about getting the feds to fund this mandate.

Schorr proposed attaching the children's health care budget to the Pentagon's budget so that the children would be healthy enough to become soldiers to serve in the administrations various wars.

Tongue in cheek? Maybe not so much.

I kind of like the idea, myself.
