13. I am.

Used to feel sick all the time, lots of IBS type symptoms, weird hypoglycemic episodes which made me feel like I was having a panic attack or going to faint, sometimes feeling like I was in a "mental fog" and couldn't figure out why, etc.

Then I went to Europe for two weeks, and like magic all my problems went away, even though I was eating lots more fat and sugar than I typically do at home (creme brulee after dinner every night and so forth). I also lost 5 lbs during those 2 weeks, with seemingly no effort at all.

On the plane ride home, I wondering if maybe HFCS was to blame. After a few days back in the States, sure enough, I started to feel sick and horrible regularly, like my "old self" again. I decided to do some experimentation, and sure enough, every time I ate something with a lot of HFCS (like soda), I was sick in the bathroom a few hours later, and felt like crap the rest of the day.

I threw away everything in my cabinet with HFCS in it that week, and have never looked back. It's a pain in the ass trying to pick through all the food that has HFCS in it, but I feel much better now than I did before.

Oh, and I've lost 20 lbs since then too.

Several of my friends have now cut it out of their diet as well, seeing how studiously I avoid it, and they have also reported feeling better.

That stuff is shit, and no amount of condescending ads from the corn industry will convince me differently.
