I agree about not setting foot in a classroom again, and the only reason I think the teachers involved are still there is that sexism is so acceptable in our culture. Imagine if the kid acted or looked some way the teacher didn't like, and instead of likening it to being a girl - and therefore worthy of humiliation - the teacher likened it to being black, put the kid in black face and paraded them around from room to room.

Would they have gotten the same verbal reprimand?
Would DUers still demand that we not discuss it publicly, and instead just let the school handle it internally?
