What grade level do you teach?
Did they cite their sources/references?
What type of essay was this supposed to be? (informative, persuasive, propaganda techniques, etc. )
What type of rubric did you use to correct this?

This was obvious written by a parent.....

From a teacher standpoint, this essay can easily be ripped apart..............the content is irrelevant when looking at structure of the essay.


5 paragraph essay.......

Introductory paragraph.
2nd para.....topic sentence w/ supporting details
3rd para....topic sentence w/ supporting details
4th para....topic sentence w/ supporting details.
Concluding paragraph

references (Wikipedia does not count)
