47. Why are the Canadiens trying to downsize their healthcare system?
I have actually good idea why...they are short of funds. Same problem in UK. There just is no really good solution to the healthcare conundrum.
The US system is expensive as hell. My wife had to have emergency gall bladder surgery. She went Thursday evening into the hospital. DIscharged Saturday evening. The bill? $34,000. Fortunately we have insurance so it cost less than $1000 out of pocket.
