He will not agree to a debt ceiling vote if there are not huge cuts in Medicare. It doesn't matter if there are trillions of dollars elsewhere, he wants deep cuts in Medicare. How can you deal with extortionists??

Unless they feel the heat from their constituents or from the media, there is no penalty for extortion. One Senator can destroy this nation if he so desires. There is no one to hold him accountable, it seems?

How do you feel about being extorted? Does it make you angry? How do you deal with it if you want a debt ceiling vote? My opinion is that their bluff has to be called. If they want to use extortion, then they are going to have to pay the price. We cannot surrender to such tactics. If there is no debt limit vote, then we have no one to blame but Senator McConnell.
