US fighters violate Iranian air space: report
Tehran, Jan 2, IRNA -- A US warplane has violated Iranian air space, this time a border edge near Afghanistan in the eastern province of Razavi Khorassan, in the latest spate of such overflights reported by the press.
According to the evening daily Kayhan, an American fighter entered Iranian air space Thursday night, flying over the southern border strip at Iran's Mousa-Abad region for several minutes.

The US warplane flew back to Afghanistan, from where it had entered the Iranian airspace, the paper added.

2. If an Iranian airplane even came within 100 miles of the US...
it would be shot down, no questions asked, and it would not be at all controversial.

Americans should remember this before expressing outrage if an American plane were to violate Iranian airspace and be shot down.

3. And the escalation continues...
Anyone want to take bets on us making it through '05 without an incident?

7. Jeez - I thought I was being pessimistic
My money's not on January - the Chimperor doesn't want anything to interfere with his "coronation". I figure it will be a late spring through summer buildup to some sort of event in September/October.

14. He may want to rile up the population though
A few sacrificial aircraft over the span of some months, with the mainstream media carefully spinning the story will help energize the crazy half of the U.S. population for a fresh attack on a hapless country.

15. "You can't make an omelette..."
I know Bush* has no problem sacrificing lives for his dreams of world domination - a couple of planes downed would hardly make him turn over in his sleep. Remember - civilian deaths are so much more likely to rouse the rabid right than military deaths, especially if they are well-known civilians (preferably white). Look for Jessica Simpson's USO plane to be off course over Iran soon...

13. Bush is working hard...
but that's quite a list, and his reading comprehension is bad. He may only have time to get through points one and two before the year's out.

16. Yes, we must defend ourselves from these Iranian attacks!
I hope we get footage of US troops taking down the checkpoint gate as we invade.

No doubt Iranian aggression will be the event that "changes everything" again and justifies the draft.

Stupid Americans support corporate overlords who will wage neverending wars.

9. this is the beginning--U.S. "chimp" wants to Nuke Iran-this is bad news
I've seen something coming for a while now.
I can just picture how it will play out.
I predict the U.S. will conduct and unbelievable sudden nuclear attack on Iran.(with the new "mini"nukes) within the next 2 months.
The public will be in disbelief--protests everywhere in every city--
This is where the real fun begins.
This time they haul away as many demonstrators as possible to set an "example" for those who don't support this country's actions.
And now they have recently set the precedent to be able to "legally" do this.
(see this D.U. thread http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x1114941)

Finally Chimp and company will rid themselves of most dissent and proceed fully with a draft and a full scale reign of terror against the American people and the World.

Sounds crazy eh?

Well, what they don't count on is that most of the rest of the world will bind together to stop the U.S.
WW IV
:nuke:
no winners.
Chimp would rather take down the entire planet than to ever surrender to anyone or to ever relinquish his cherished power.

No one thought it would really happen in Germany in the 1930's either
...only the smart ones bailed in time (scientists, many others etc.,)
