Rove to GOP: Don't grow 'tired or timid'
By Deb Riechmann, Associated Press Writer | February 17, 2005

WASHINGTON -- Karl Rove, President Bush's top political strategist, on Thursday pronounced conservatism the "dominant political creed in America" and coached fellow conservatives on how to support his boss.

"The next time one of your smarty-pants liberal friends says to you, `Well, he didn't have a mandate,' you tell him of this delicious fact: This president got a higher percentage of the vote than any Democratic candidate for president since 1964," Rove said.

(snip)

Bush is the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to be re-elected while his party gained seats in the House and Senate, Rove continued. But he also cautioned his conservative supporters that they must not become complacent with the 2004 victory.

(snip)

"Conservatism is the dominant political creed in America," Rove said, adding that more needed to be done.

3. Apathetic Idiocy
is the dominant creed of America...always has been...at the end of the day...most Americans either DON'T CARE, or DON'T KNOW.

That's America's DOMINANT creed: Apathetic Idiocy. There's other creeds...and DU represents another strain in American society...but the majority of the people practice Apathetic Idiocy, in one way or another.

13. I Agree.
A lot of voters are too lazy to do their own research on issues and candidates. They were largely led (or misled, depending on how one sees it) into voting for Shrub on Rovian propaganda. Many are close-minded and absolutely refuse to read anything that might contradict their rosy vision of their beloved preznit.

5. for a nice antidote to this: listen to Thom Hartmann today
streaming mp3 at http://www.whiterosesociety.org/ He talks about the latest Freeman report which estimates 8 million votes switched in the election fraWd.
In other words, Kerry really won by 5 million votes. Which makes * the biggest loser ever? Don't know. Who else has lost the presidency by more than 5 million votes? And a "war time" president at that.
Brilliant boy rove was bailed out by the chrisitan reconstructionists, bigtime.
We'll see how they repay them that little favor over the next few years.
Apparently, without the benefit of evolution, once a loser always a loser.

17. Question IS...why does Rove remind us NOW of Shrub's Mandate/Victory?
This is REAL old news. Unless of course, Rove's "genius" feels an URGENT need to RE-spin Shrub's huge victory NOW. Why? Only if he fears that the blogosphere's recent victories at getting the Truth out...is also gaining ground at "illegitimizing" Shrub's victory, by the Facts of widespread EF.

Let him keep spinning his "delicious" lies. As any spinning top proves, eventually the spin wears down, and topples the top to its side.

19. Then remind your dumb-ass conservative challenger
that number is higher only because they were forced to resort to vote fraud tactics such as lies, coercion, vote manipulation, and deliberantly errant software, so it's a non-starter for anyone with a logical brain.

These cretins are only acting this way because they are a sick, dying breed.

Rove is trying to confuse the facts. Only works with the right wing dead heads. Outcome was almost 50/50, and that is with voter suppression. He can say it all he wants. Won't make it come true.

38. He's wrong
The fact is, the more American's know about an issue, the majority support the liberal view. I remember reading and Newsweek article right before the election and it had more American's agreeing with John Kerry positions on things than Bush.(I'm too tired to Google it, but I'm sure with a little research someone can find the article). That point is Democrat's don't get their message across but when we do more American's agree with us than with them.
