3. wrong move but Bush doesn't care

when religions go along with it, I can only think they are feeding at the trough-and they are- call it religious welfare. This action, they seem incapable of seeing, will put their religion firmly under the control of a government--as well as demand of those who are not religious that they augment a particular religion or the other by contributing their tax dollars to it's biased propagation. I expected nothing less of Bush--fascist control with religion as a banner flown from the capitol dome and the roof of the White House, and a shameful disregarding of the constitution of the US . Majority will have the opportunity to tyranize the minority on this one--Bush has seen to it. How I hate that man for what he is doing to my country.

4. Just a way for Bu$h to keep the religious right's support and he
can prevent "unreligious" from getting the aid they may need. He is such a piece of work.

5. Religious help
Most churches do not expect or want government money. The ones I know (especially my wonderful Episcopal Church which is in downtown) gives clothes and meals and time and books and etc. We have incredible parishioners who donate to the Cabbage Patch (a place for poor children to learn), who tutor, who get money and help for job interviews, etc. We have many gay members; we have many of the Lost Boys that we have assisted and given jobs (they are the greatest); we sponsored a Bosnian family. It is our duty and our privilege to help others. We have made such wonderful friends and broadened our perspective with every charity. We are the true recipients of glory. Some churches may do wonders with government money, but many won't. They will instead try to perpetuate their narrow beliefs. That money is better spent on Head Start, the veterans, medical research, and my own personal pet, the environment.

7. This will be fine and dandy...
This will be fine and dandy, the day churches pay taxes on their trillions of dollars of income and property.

8. P.S. Does this mean...
Does this mean I can finally get Federal Funding for my Fundamental Islamic "Day Care" center? Or that Buddist Food Bank I've been considering? :)

Never mind, I think I know the answer.
