Bush says world must help Iraq; Palestinians deserve state
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/un_us

UNITED NATIONS (AFP) - US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) appealed to the UN General Assembly for international support to guide Iraq (news - web sites) to democracy while calling on Palestinians to take new steps toward statehood by embracing new leaders committed to peace.

The United States is preparing a resolution for the UN Security Council seeking troops and cash for Iraq, and Bush told world leaders, "Iraq needs and deserves our aid, and all nations of goodwill should step forward and provide that support." ...saying that the process must be "neither hurried nor delayed."

Following up his campaign to bring down Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) in Iraq, the US president said he wanted a new Security Council resolution to fight the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. ...to criminalize the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, to enact strict export controls consistent with international standards and to secure any and all sensitive materials within their own borders," he said.

We are determined to keep the world's most destructive weapons away from all our shores :eyes: , and out of the hands of our common enemies."

15. Wait! You forget all his sarin and anthrax!
Biological and chemical WMDs. Why, why they could be anywhere. And we'll find them, yes we will.

I believe they're stored in a warehouse locker next to the holy grail.

7. Only the barren desert part that has no oil.
Then they'll feel right at home.

With the gun laws and the way Texans treat women, hey, I think this plan could work.

5. Nothing but the same ol' lies in that speech

Iraq is at the heart of the war on terror, which started with the attack on 9/11. The same effin' innuendo all over again.

6.  If the UN and the
rest of the world falls for this bs....

Did y'all notice the mega-tremors on the right hand
and arm?

Smaller tremors on the left thumb and index finger.

But from the middle half or so of his talking at you,
the left hand had a tight grip on the podium.

His eyes looked very bad.

Is that what you're saying? The shakes? What causes the shakes?

Certainly not a guilty conscience.

9. Bush is insane
the AP headline on Yahoo at this moment reads " Bush Rejects Call for Quick Iraq Handover"

I did not even bother to read the text. All Bush knows how to do and all he wants to do is leave "impressions"--in this case the media wants it to appear that Bush is the leader of the UN-lol

After looking at the photos when he made his "appearance" this morning, he looks like all he could ever hope to lead was a line to the local outhouse--

10. Bullshit ...
the world warned you that you were making the wrong decision. You decided that millions of protesters world wide were nothing more than a focus group. You ignored them an got us into a very bad situation.

Well most of the people in the world were correct. You were wrong.

Don't be surprised when the entire world turns its back on you. That's what you did to them.

Cheers
Drifter

13. "to criminalize the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction"
Does this mean he'll finally have to get tough with Saudi Arabia (seeking nukes according to a story last week) and...gulp...Israel?

14. "gulp...Israel"?
Teeny tiny state. No oil. Not many people. Less every time a bomb goes off.

Yet they scare you? Why, dear?
