Cooper makes offer to workers

<snip> USWA Local 752L's Mike Penney, chairman of the press committee said the union will hold informational meetings at the union hall on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and on Monday starting at 9 a.m. to answer questions about the contract summary they received.

"We consider the way that the summary is worded misleading on a lot of the proposals that are made," Penney said. <snip>

"And Mr. (David) Boone, the union president, talked to the whole union ... and the majority of them wanted to go on strike ... I think Mr. Boone is looking out for all of our families by standing up for what he believes in," she said. "And I believe those values are more important than my bank account."
