1. A corpsman, perhaps?
Crap!

Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!

perhaps you should have been sailing the seas instead of being in Fallujah :(

Another lost life in the pursuit of madness brought to you courtesy of the policies of this maladministration.

9. reuter certainly did a fine job minimizing the death toll
The deaths raise to at least 1,194 the number of U.S. military personnel killed by enemy action in Iraq since the 2003 invasion.

I guess those other 375+/- are really not "dead". :argh:

5. very crappy for his loved ones
there are literally THOUSANDS of Iraqi families in Fallujah who can understand their pain, none of their dead relatives names will appear in any of our papers and no western strangers will mourn their deaths, but they're just as dead.

A bomb targeting a patrol killed the soldier Sunday morning in east Baghdad, the military said in a statement.

A sailor was killed by a bomb during combat operations on Saturday in Falluja, about 50 km (30 miles) west of Baghdad.

A second U.S. soldier was killed Saturday when a bomb exploded near a military convoy near al Haswah, west of Baghdad. The second soldier and the sailor were assigned to the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force.

8. Wasn't the soldier killed near al Haswah
reported on yesterday?

Or is this another in the seemingly endless stream of death?

May they rest in peace.

11. Bummer.
President AWOL must be proud of his 38 Republican lackeys in the Senate who voted against armor for these poor souls.

Chickenhawk "conservatives", liars "strong on defense" - a bunch of chickenshit right wing zealots led by an AWOL draft dodger who is too yellow to admit it.

RIP, Corpsman.
