Bush Says He Is Ready to Work With Arnold
WASHINGTON -- President Bush says he is ready to work with Arnold Schwarzenegger if Californians elect him as their next governor, but he stopped short Tuesday of the praise he had previously offered the actor-turned-candidate.

In August, Bush declared that "I think he'd be a good governor." On Tuesday, as Californians went to the polls, the president sidestepped questions about whether he still maintained that view following disclosures that Schwarzenegger groped more than a dozen women.

"I feel like the California people are going to make a wise decision, that they are now in charge of the process," Bush said.

The president said he hadn't "been paying that close attention to it, because I got a job to do here in Washington."

But Bush's comments also suggested he had taken a keen interest in the race. More than 2 million people had voted by absentee ballot, a result Bush called "a pretty active turnout." Schwarzenegger, Bush said, has "waged a spirited campaign. He's captured a lot of people's imagination."

7. That right there is reason enough to vote No on the recall
and get as many people as possible to the polls to do likewise. First order of business would be blessing Enron's escape from overcharging the people of California (http://www.commondreams.org/views03/1004-05.htm) followed by offshore drilling on the coasts.

33. Christ. Not only can I not watch that fuckhead on television...
I can't even read quotes without feeling almost physically ill. The man's stupidity is painful. Every quotation from Bush reproduced in the above-excerpted article contains grammatical errors. Surprised his remarks weren't cleaned up to make him sound less of an idiot.

34. Can you even begin to imagine what Rove has on Arnold? What a
malleable little puppet he would be if he does prevail in this election. I mean think about it, 15 women in 7 days, you know that is just the tip of the iceberg. If he wins he will not be able to wipe his a** without someone giving the OK. He is being touted as a tough guy and he is probably the most vulnerable of all the candidates to blackmail and coercion. On a lighter note I would hope that if he does prevail that they will forever lose the moral "highground" they unjustly claimed during the Clinton years.

I hope with all my heart that this recall vote does not pass.
