Venezuelan General Lopez Hidalgo rules out any agreement with DEA
Venezuelan Armed Force (FAN) Inspector General, Major General Melvin Lopez Hidalgo has ruled out any reactivation of the the agreement with the US Drugs Enforcement agency (DEA), despite rumors of a breakthrough accord between DEA and the Venezuelan Commission against the Illegal Use of Drugs (Conacuid).

The General complains that DEA has not take Venezuela's war on drugs seriously and has been guilty of " not so clear or transparent" actions, such as controlled deliveries, as well as trying to impose its parameters of workon its partners. <snip>

Venezuelan Defense Minister, 3-star Admiral Orlando Maniglia says he will make no comment until the National Guard (GN) has completed its investigation. <snip>

US Ambassador laments probe into alleged DEA irregularities

US Ambassador to Venezuela, William Brownfield says he laments the Attorney General's investigation into alleged irregularities on the part of US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

It would appear, the Ambassador contends, to be a campaign against DEA ... "the DEA, like Venezuelan police organizations, work daily to protect our communities and our peoples here, in the USA and each of the 192 countries of the world." <snip>

1. If there is anything South America needs to be rid of, it's the filthy,
brutal, thieving U.S. drug war and the Bush Cartel's anti-democratic, "death squad" meddling.

Go, Chavez! Viva Venezuela!

2. Viva Chavez!
DEA is suspected of interfering in internal Venezuelan affairs by its close association with some of the golpistas.
