(FBI) Agent Reinstated After 9/11 Criticism (Robert Wright, Jr.)

The Justice Department ordered the FBI to reinstate a Chicago anti-terrorism agent who had faced possible dismissal for accusing the bureau of not doing enough to prevent the Sept. 11 attacks.

The FBI had suspended and was trying to fire Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. for alleged insubordination, unprofessional conduct and talking to the media without bureau approval.

Wright declined to dicuss the circumstances of his reinstatement, but said: "I look forward to going back to my squad. I look forward to doing my job."

FBI spokesman Ed Cogswell in Washington declined to comment.

Wright held a news conference in 2003 during which he referred to FBI's International Terrorism Unit as a "complete joke" and also appeared on a network news program.

1. He is the same agent that said it was a political coverup-story 2002
Agent: FBI Could Have Prevented 9-11

Friday, May 31, 2002
WASHINGTON – A veteran FBI agent Thursday charged that corruption inside the bureau derailed investigations that could have averted the terrorist attacks on America on Sept. 11. His lawyers said the FBI had evidence that the World Trade Center was a possible terrorist target.
In a memo written 91 days before Sept. 11, Special Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. warned that Americans would die as a result of the FBI's failure to investigate terrorists living in this country.

Wright went public at a press conference even though FBI Director Robert Mueller ordered him to stay in Chicago and threatened him with criminal prosecution if he spoke publicly about the agency's wrongdoing.

"The FBI is not protecting the American people," declared Wright at a conference sponsored by his attorneys at the public interest law firm Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman termed Mueller’s comments Wednesday, that open criticism of him and other top FBI brass was welcome, were nothing more than "politically convenient statements."

'They Got Caught'

"They said that because they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar," declared Klayman, referring to a memo written by FBI legal counsel Coleen Rowley. She alleged in a memo that the FBI could have prevented the 9-11 attacks and that Mueller, though new to the job, has covered up for senior FBI officials.>>>snip

3. There may be an ulterior motive here.
Wright was taken off of an investigation after he allegedly misreprensented evidence in a FISA warrant application against Chicago area financiers of Hamas and Hezbollah. That happened in 2000.

He was later represented in his suit by Davids Schippers and Judicial Watch.

Put the pieces together.

4. Yes, I think the timing of his reinstatement is odd... the pieces were
there,
I think he is the same agent that JUDAS miller wrote an article and disturbed the revealing the Islamic financiers under investigation by the Justice Dept. where Fitz tangled with her.

5. Robert Wright was investigating Yassin al-Qadi.
Yassin al Qadi was one of the founding investors of the Ptech software
company, which had as clients the White House, Congress, Army, Navy, Air
Force, NATO, FAA, FBI, and the IRS.

After 9/11, al Qadi's assets were frozen by the FBI as he was a
suspected terrorist financier.

Ptech, together with Mitre software, had an installation in the basement
tied into the FAA computers for two years before the 9/11 attacks. They
were working on interoperability issues in connecting the FAA computers
to the Air Force computers.
