White House aide praises Libby on eve of leak case
Reuters

Nov 2, 2005 — WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A senior adviser to President George W. Bush on Wednesday praised ex-White House aide Lewis Libby on the eve of his arraignment on charges of obstructing justice, perjury and lying in the CIA leak investigation.

...

Both Cheney and Bush have also praised Libby though Bush also said he takes the leak investigation seriously.

...

"Scooter Libby is a fine person. And he served the president and the vice president well," White House National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley said at a news briefing.

"I will miss him as a colleague and as a friend," he added.

5. I wonder how Scooter interpreted that:
""I will miss him as a colleague and as a friend," he added."

It sounds rather ominous.

9. No kidding! Sounds like something Michael Corleone would say!
"The Aspens are turning, and they are at their most glorious when they die, in silence. One dies, to protect the others, because they are connected by their roots, and the disease of one must be prevented from spreading to the others. Time to sleep, my friend, and smile at the lives of those you love."

I'd be trembling if I were Libby!

18. Oh god, that evokes Libby's sex writing.
The aspen stood erect, trembling, quivering, at the sight of the bear. "Take me, bear," though the Aspen, as only Aspens can think. The bear sniffed at the Aspen, and it trembled more, if that were possible. "That's it. Nuzzle my bark with hot flesh of your..."

Alright, I'm too disgusted to continue.

6. This is the bush administration version of circling the wagons.
Do not address the crime, which is the central issue. Simply talk about "what a fine person" Libby is.

Does a bear sh*t in the woods? Not if there's a little girl there.

8. Oh yeah, well he was supposed to serve America, not just
fat cat BushCo Masterminds of the Culture of Corruption.

That's what these Bozo's don't get. Their job is to serve America, not themselves.

14. Serving America. What a concept. Especially since we are paying
their salaries, you would think they would have that in mind every now and then.

11. Can you remember another case of a leader praising a traitor and
sounding like the traitor was the victim?

This is what sickens me about the media, not just BushCo. There is no question now that Libby is a traitor to the US, that he leaked information that was protecting us from REAL WMDs, and that every single American citizen is in infinitely more danger now because of this leak.

For the same type of crime, the Rosenburgs were executed. And the president and his staff PRAISE Libby, and the media doesn't even point it out. If BushCo didn't completely support Libby's leak, they would be screaming about being betrayed. THEY would be Libby's harshest critics. And now they are acting as though a loyal supporter is going to jail?

Who still doubts that the mainstream media in this nation are every bit as traitorous as BushCo?

and that's who all of them are supposed to be working for. maybe if they remembered that more often there would be less of them getting indicted.
