Senators Cantwell & Lautenberg Demand Oil Executives Testify Under Oath
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) will lead Senate Democrats TODAY in demanding that oil company executives return to Congress and testify under oath in light of ongoing concerns of gas price-gouging by oil companies at the expense of hard-working American families. They will also call on the Justice Department to investigate into the alleged false statements made at a joint Senate Energy and Commerce Committee Hearing last week.

(that's the entire post from The American Prospect)

2. Good, our republican-democrat senator is concerned with gas gouging.
Apparently she's not on the take with the oil companies.

Therefore one of her major private funders must be paying to much in gas for his company OR she grew a conscience. I'll guess it's one of her private funders.

6. Am I just naïve?
Baseball players must swear to tell the truth, but not gasbags. Why? Shouldn’t it be a given that everyone testifying before congress, tell the truth?

8. Gas prices here are dropping as fast as they rose.
Imagine that? $2.06 for unleaded, two days ago, $2.16, two days before that $2.25. At this rate, we might see $1.99 by weeks end. That should satisfy the bushbots.

11. I posted this before in another thread...
Same "coincidence" that dropped gas prices from $2.72 to $2.44 here on the very morning that the oil companies were due to release their quarterly profit reports. Biggest drop in prices yet...they've been heading downward since, but not at a 26 cents a day pace.

14. OK, folks. This is a real winner for Dems with the public. Spread the word
Bring 'em back and swear their asses in under oath. Make 'em explain why they lied to Congress.]

And most of all, expose the Republicans as the petro-lackeys that they are to our gasgouged citizens.
