Pirro spokeswoman has history of slamming Clinton

ALBANY, N.Y. -- It turns out that Republican rival Jeanine Pirro's new campaign spokeswoman has a history of attacking Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, in not so flattering terms.

According to a report Wednesday on the weekly New York Observer's political Web site, Andrea Tantaros used her column in Lehigh University's The Brown and White newspaper in October 2000 as the then-first lady closed in on her Senate victory in New York to rail against the notion.

In turn, Tantaros called Clinton "this power-hungry monster," "a power-hungry congenital liar" and "this power-hungry phony."

"From her failed socialized health care initiative to her shady real estate deals, images of Hillary as the next senator from New York sicken me," Tantaros wrote.
