Miller said he thinks the administration's handling of the Iraq war and the questionable intelligence leading up to it may rise to an
impeachable level.
"The president has a very strong duty to do the due diligence before sending American men and women into harm's way. He failed in that duty," Miller said. "We're seeing the president and (Vice President Dick Cheney) emerge as liars."
"A one-party government doesn't investigate itself," Miller said, adding that Randy "Duke" Cunningham's recent admission to bribe-taking is troubling. Miller called Cunningham, who resigned Monday, "a very bad guy," long known for "challenging everybody's patriotism and voracity." Cunningham, R-San Diego, admitted taking more than $2 million in bribes to steer defense contracts to conspirators.
"He was on the intelligence committee, and that raises a whole lot of questions," Miller said. "The general rule is to keep people off that type of committee who are subject to bribery."
