BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iraqi prosecutors on Monday asked a judge to sentence Saddam Hussein to death for his role in the killings of 148 villagers after a 1982 assassination attempt in the village of Dujail.

Judge Rauf Abdel Rahman adjourned the case until Monday, when he said closing arguments would begin.

"You've presented 62 witnesses. If that's not enough to present your case, then 100 won't work," he said.
