Game Re-enacts al-Zarqawi Takedown
War game developer Kuma Reality Games has already created a downloadable mission re-enacting the killing of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

US forces killed al Zarqawi, the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, on June 7. New-York-based Kuma Reality Games has wasted no time "reporting" on the event in videogame form.

The current instability in the Middle East has given Kuma plenty of material, as the company cranks out war games based on real-world events.

As for the new Zarqawi mission, Kuma CEO Keith Halper said (as reported by the Chicago Tribune), "When the Zarqawi event took place, there was no way we could just not report on it. It's one of the key events in the war so far."

1. ok--I completely disagree with continued violent video games.
There is no reason to feed violence into young children.

2. Are they going to create a Usay-Qusay killing game next?
Zap the 14-year-old boy and get extra points?

How about a "bomb Saddam in the restaurant" game? Or a "bomb the tall man in the field in Afghanistan who looks kind of like bin Laden" game? Or maybe a "bomb the wedding party because there are undoubtedly terrorists there" game?

The possibilities are endless.

4. But...But...
The previous mission was about Canada!!!

Mission 74 - Overview
The British Empire Strikes Back: Canadian Counterstrike

Helmand Province, Afghanistan— March 29, 2006 The battle begins long before the Canadian troops arrive. Earlier, with a barrage of assault rifles and roadside bombs, Taliban fighters had launched an attack against a vulnerable Afghan Army convoy. It is a short-lived victory. Soon, the Canadians will step in and force the tide to take a vicious turn against the Taliban.

As a soldier with the First Battalion of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, you’re flown into Afghanistan’s violent Helmand Province in response to a convoy attack against Afghan Army soldiers. Simply put: You’re there to finish what the Taliban started, should they foolishly choose to return.

kuma war

Neat-o, eh?

Well Vadim thinks so:
"Sheesh!, if you like killin' stuff, this is the mission for you. Lots and lots of folks to drop. Too many for one soldier to handle alone. Use your squad to survive. Hit TAB to change to your squad members and position them at key spots (Balcony, guard post, entrance{with a crossfire configuration}. Also make sure to use Crouch to have ledges become blocker for you and your squad.

Like he says, "If you like killin' stuff, this is the mission for you."

These kids today, huh...where do they get this stuff that needs a killin'

5. Kuma War: barf
First Person shooters are so, passe, they need to add mini games to simulate the entire iraq war experience.

Download checkpoint massacre, where you get to accidentally shoot a car full of innocent iraqis! Do you console the brand new widow or just go back to your barracks sobbing. Such Realism!

Or how about the ER Trauma Surgeon mini-game, where you try and save shredded human beings from death.

Maybe, you could have a Civilization type game where the contractor who steals the most money from the US Government wins!
I'll play Bechtel.
