Violence 'may cost Al Maliki his job'
The fate of the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki hangs in the balance, as a result of the deteriorating security situation in Baghdad.

This development comes in the wake of increasing talk in Iraqi political circles about the near departure of Al Maliki, because of the collapsed security situation.

Al Maliki is under tremendous pressure from his political bloc. The Shiite coalition wants Al Maliki to intensify huge security operations to crush armed groups, putting an end to the declining security situation.

The Jordanian Al Rai newspaper's polls in Baghdad say sectarian strife has increased the popularity of Eyad Allawi. Many believe he is the right man to control the deteriorating security situation in Iraq.

1. Allawi is a thug, a secular Shia, and our new Saddam
Considering all the other bad alternatives in Iraq, Allawi is our best bet to smash the militias, curtail the religious oppression, and liquidate the troublemakers.

It takes a Saddam to keep Iraq together, and Allawi is the closest thing to a well-behaved Saddam.

3. Bush praised Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki up and down at the press
...conference today, so in typical mafia style that means he may have received the kiss of death. Let's watch what happens next in Iraq.

I think the Bushies are looking for a real thug like Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai

8. He'll be lucky to keep is head, much less his job
The militias may choose to "impeach" him in their own special way.

9. So in the great democracy that is Iraq,
will the Iraqi people vote him out of office or will the US have him "dispatched"?
