Dems complain of 'notification, not consultation'

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Fresh off a briefing with President Bush on his Iraq speech, Congressional Democratic leaders expressed frustration Wednesday they were not consulted earlier about his new way forward in Iraq.

"I think the conversation that we had with the President just now would have been much better a week ago, a month ago, six months ago," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, said outside the White House Wednesday. "The President is practicing his speech right now. We have a conversation today that has no impact on what he is going to say."

"It's just really unfortunate that we cannot have real consultation between the legislative and the executive branch when it comes to protecting the American people," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, said.

"This was notification, not consultation," Pelosi added.

He was so kind as to grant a limited audience to those "other".

7. Not emperor, dictator
A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it.

I called Alaska's 3 Stooges (Totally Tubular Ted Stevens, Nepotism Murkowski, & Dumb Young) & told them for the 10th time that it's beyond time to IMPEACH THE BASTARD. Not that it will do anything but generate Autopen-signed letters telling me they're going to ignore me and the rest of Alaskans.

2. *'s too lily-livered to actually have a man-to-(wo)man consultation, discussion, or debate. What a
pansy.

3. shrub is not a stand-up guy.he's a liar. a moral coward.
he's not gonna consult w/ anyone because he doesn't have original ideas or ideals. if he had either then conversation and negotiation would be welcomed, but since he relies on other people to supply both he's incompetent in those areas. that's why he needed a wireless prompter at the debates and why unrehearsedquestions from an audience are such a verboten event.

5. Well, quit calling yourselves co-equal then. Clearly you have no power
and this form of government is useless.

6. Actually, Bush didn't consult the GOP Congress much either
He thinks his shit don't stink, so he can do whatever the hell he wants. It's that messianic complex of his.
