One Task Force Lightning Soldier Dies, One Wounded
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – A Task Force Lightning Soldier assigned to the 105th Engineer Group,
died of wounds Saturday as a result of an explosion while conducting operations
in northern Iraq.

One other Soldier was wounded and transported to a Coalition force medical treatment
facility.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and
release by the Department of Defense.
