1. AP: Suicide bomber kills 30 near Tikrit, wounding 50
BAGHDAD, Iraq - A suicide truck bomber slammed into a crowd of police on Sunday near Tikrit, killing at least 30 people and wounding 50, police said.

The blast occurred as police were lining up for duty at the gate of the Adwar police station, Capt. Abdel-Samad Mohammed said, giving the casualty toll.

The bomber drove a small truck with explosives covered by hay straight into the crowd, which apparently was not protected by any barriers or other protective measures, police said.

2. Gunmen kill 8 in Iraq ambush - police
MOSUL, Iraq, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Gunmen shot dead eight men when they ambushed their vehicle northwest of Mosul, Iraq's third-largest city, and raked it with machinegun fire, police said on Sunday.

Police said Saturday's ambush took place on the main road between the towns of Sinjar and Rabiyaa. The men had been returning home after registering at a border guard recruitment centre in Sinjar.

It appeared they were deliberately targeted by gunmen who may have been watching them in Sinjar and then followed them out of town, police said.

3. Something obviously overlooked in the articles
Tribal retribution. Will revenge killings be conducted between families? Those police wouldn't be allowed to join the force without tribal consent.Whichever tribe they belong to that is.

I would like the stringers to talk to the tribal elders and members of the families of those dead police from the town of Dawr and the words from the suicide bomber prior to his "kamakazi" mission and not the comments left at the bottom of the articles by readwers from around the world;

Suicide bomber is punishing "collaborators' is how al Jazeera could spin it in to its middle east market but they will not release his final will and testimony on DVD to the general public. Those videos are only available in the open air markets for sale to the general public.
A lot could be learned and understood if such videos were researched by some media outlet on our side of the world and reported.
But all we get on that subject is
