4 U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq
BAGHDAD (CNN) -- Four U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq bombings over the previous 24 hours, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.

Three were killed and another was wounded Tuesday when a unit struck a roadside bomb "while conducting a route clearance mission southwest of the Iraqi capital."

One 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) soldier was killed and two were wounded in a bombing on their Humvee near Diwaniya, in Qadisiya province, in southern Iraq at approximately 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The number of U.S. military personnel killed in the Iraq war is 3,160 and the number killed in February is 77. (Posted 11:07 a.m.)

3. These Are The Times That Are Hardest For Military Families.
No names mean that the next of kin are still being identified.

I'm not sure where my brother is right now. He has been on maneuvers in Baghdad proper recently. His wife heard from him last week and he sounded as if his spirits were pretty low. "I'm doing as well as can be expected," he always says.

If you want to help our troops, ADOPT ONE. Or two. Or seven. Even cards and letters telling them that we miss them and are trying to bring them home does wonders. Because of the racist, classist system in the United States military, many of our troops are the orphans, the foster kids, the disenfranchised, those who had nowhere else to go...and they have no one. There are countless stories about these people giving up their leave to other soldiers with families and spouses, because those troops have no one back in the States waiting for them.

5. What's a "clearance mission"?
I thought our troops were there to back the Iraqi troops who were to do all of the heavy lifting?

7. This is why I want Cheney and Bush impeached
Many, many more lives are going to be lost unless we get them out of office, and put an end to this brutal, senseless killing. Too many people's lives are being destroyed because of those arrogant, corrupt, evil reptiles. RIP, troops.
