Date: December 21, 2003

Young And Rangel To Serve As First Two Co-Chairs Of Clark's National Campaign Steering Committee
Little Rock - Today in Columbia, SC, the Clark campaign announced that Ambassador Andrew Young and Representative Charles Rangel will serve as the first two Co-Chairs of Wes Clark's National Campaign Steering Committee. The committee will provide guidance on major issues involving both policy and strategy and will help organize other leaders throughout the country.

4. uh....
what "lame crap"? There was a legitimate question discussed earlier today here on DU about whether Young actually was endorsing Clark.

I would say sitting on his campaign's steering committee answers the question.

The issue is that Young refused to use the word "endorse" because he feels it's improper to tell others how they should vote. But we now know for sure that Young PERSONALLY is supporting Clark's election.

If you wanna argue about the semantics of "endorsement" we can, but calling it "lame crap" is a cheap shot.

It says, very plainly, that they not only support the candidate but are going to work full out for him! Great news for the Clark campaign!

7. Andy can call it what he wants, but it sounds like
"endorsement" to me.

Kudos to the Clark campaign...that's a good one to have on your team.
