FOX News Poll: Bush Approval Rating Hits New Low
Source: Fox News

NEW YORK — Americans are giving bad grades all around. President Bush’s job approval rating now stands at 31 percent, the lowest ever in the FOX News poll, and almost twice as many Americans say they disapprove of the president’s job performance. And those harsh sentiments extend down Pennsylvania Avenue to Capitol Hill. Six months after the new Democratically-controlled Congress convened, the poll finds that Americans are dissatisfied with the job both Democrats and Republicans in Congress are doing.

Opinion Dynamics Corp. conducted the national telephone poll of 900 registered voters for FOX News from June 26 to June 27. The poll has a 3-point error margin.

Bush’s ratings have been in the thirties for the last several months. Since the midterm election, the president’s approval has ranged from a high of 38 percent (January and April) to a low of 33 percent in March. Today, 31 percent of Americans say they approve and 60 percent disapprove.

6. So what is really? About 19 or so? Even their very own propaganda outlet
can't eke it above 31.

3. How very Orwellian
I've read 28% in various polls over the past year, yet they keep revising the "new low" upward. As in "your chocolate rations have been increased from 2oz to 1.5 oz".

7. Yet another Rovian release trying to shore up the illusion of shrub's numbers
It's WAY lower than 33% and they damn well know it.

In California, I'd be surprised if it's 10%.

10. they must have pushed the +/- to the plus side
and if they took the full 5% they give for there being "more Repukes" and the normal range of +/- 4% we can assume (and probably rightly so) that the real number is about 22% JMHO of course

16. Pew had it 29% about 3 weeks ago.
As someone suggested elsewhere, Fox probably bit into the plus side of the fudge-factor (+-3%). But he had similar figures in August 2001, and then came Fahrenheit 911. QUESTION: Will the DLC grow some balls before Bush hits another Trifecta?

18. He's "not conservative enuff" for Fox viewers
The illegal immigration bill he supports proves it -- he's somewhere between John McCain and Margaret Thatcher. The Fox crowd is looking for someone right of Hitler.

19. let's see: when it was 30s, they call it 90% - I call a real 10% now - half of whom
work for Faux. (Funny fact: they check political loyalty there for everyone - from anchorman to cleaning woman - so you got your 5% right there!)

21. That's low, even for Faux...
I'm sure they'll find a way to keep their fundie hero above 30%!!! :sarcasm:

NBC/WSJ was 29% a few weeks ago, so at least they're within 10 points this time. But still, he's in the cellar. You know you're screwed when even the poll of the very channel that lives to help spew your agenda can't help your numbers!
