British PM refuses to "rule out anything" over Iran nuclear proliferation
Source: AP

Prime Minister Gordon Brown refused Monday to rule out any measures against Iran to ensure it complies with the international community over its nuclear program.

Brown said it was possible to make Teheran meet its international obligations by diplomatic means, including sanctions if necessary, but refused to rule out the use of force.

"What I am prepared to say is that we take very seriously what Iran is proposing and we are prepared to use the methods that we have used in diplomacy and sanctions to deal with this problem, and I do not rule out anything," Brown said.

Brown once again accused Iran of arming militants in Iraq, saying Teheran was "breeding violence and supporting terrorism and causing loss of life."

4. read OP. Its not a reduction
just a Vietnam War/Kennedy style troop rotation, calling it a reduction (ie. counting only the troops being sent out of the country, not the ones being sent in to Iraq). Shame on Brown.

3. Did you also notice
on the same Jerusalem Post page is a link to Bible prophecy and war in Iran. Stupid, stupid, stupid, we don't have a chance if the stupid ignorant people in power believe it is the "end times" predestined. They have never grasped that one of the great gifts of human beings is our ability to project possibilities and ideas into the future, but so that we can avoid folly not run to it.

6. Mr. Brown has the right to do that

... after he dismantled Great Britain's arsenal of nuclear weapons.

Everything else would be nothing but hypocrisy.

13. Brown isn't a "poodle in training"
Brown is radically different than Tony Blair....and I genuinely believe, that had Gordon Brown have been Prime Minister in 2002, he would have reacted very differently than Tony Blair reacted, and he wouldn't have taken Britain to war AGAINST the majority of British peoples' wishes, nor would he have stood up and categorically told a pack of lies to the House of Commons.

Had Gordon Brown have been Prime Minister in 2002, then going on near 200 British troops would STILL be alive today.

15. Not *quite* that bad, I think
Brown may have been ambitious, but domination of the universe is a bit beyond his horizons ...

12. Personally
I don't think Gordon Brown will take Britain to war with Iran, Brown isn't Tony Blair, Brown won't be W's poodle like Blair was, Brown won't do W's bidding like Blair did and Brown won't habitually lie on behalf of W like Blair did either.

There's no stomach for war with Iran, not after the utter catastrophic mess that Iraq's has turned out to be.
