Activists call for actions against US companies
AFP, Mumbai

<snip and photo>
The anti-globalisation movement was weighing its tone yesterday as its annual strategy meeting got underway with calls for action against US companies and appeals to find a new and more militant means of protest.
An estimated 100,000 activists crammed into an exhibition grounds off a Mumbai highway, with dozens of colorful demonstrations pushing their way over a pavement littered with fliers for causes from all continents.

The most common cause at the World Social Forum, however, was opposition to US President George W. Bush, whose portrait was depicted across the wooded venue in assorted states of defacement.

2. sad part is
If the American people don't know how to fight against rw propaganda,corporations and other predatory practices of the wealthy ,and if the perople are so hung up on bullshit they can't figure out he is a monster I am comforted at least that the rest of the world can see it too. I hope if things go to total shitthere and it will and it goes to shit here I am comfoted that the rest of the world will show us how to care for each other againand heal from the damages done by"elites" and corporations.Maybe if these neo-cons abuse people enough it may stop this crazy neo-con/apathy trance leading to the world's and our own exploitation/destruction.
How much denial can one country take in the name of money?
Apparently the rest of the world can't afford this kind of denial of what is happening here ,like we do.
