Roadside bomb hits bus, kills 16 in S.Iraq -police

BAGHDAD, March 11 (Reuters) - A roadside bomb blasted a
bus in Iraq's southern province of Dhi Qar on Tuesday, killing
at least 16 people and wounding 22, Iraqi police said.

Nasser al-Jabery, head of police operations in the provincial
capital Nassiriya, said the bus was carrying pilgrims from the
Shi'ite holy city of Najaf to Basra. (Reporting by Imad
