Bloch ousted as special counsel

Special Counsel Scott Bloch is being forced out of office, according to sources close to the agency.

Employees say Bloch was fired by the White House earlier today, and he’s gathering staffers for an all-hands meeting this afternoon to announce his departure from the agency.

On Monday, Bloch announced plans to resign from the agency Jan. 5. He’s under federal investigation for allegedly destroying data on a computer linked to a whistleblower retaliation case in the office.

A little background:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Bloch

Bloch's first major actions as head of the office were to choose as deputy a lawyer who had publicly taken a position against the "homosexual agenda", and to hire young lawyers from Ave Maria School of Law, the Catholic school founded by Domino's Pizza billionaire Tom Monaghan. In February 2004, Bloch ordered all mention of sexual orientation workplace nondiscrimination be removed from OSC's website and printed materials. Bloch stated his office lacked the authority to ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

1. Too bad. So sad.
Mixed emotions for another newly unemployed fellah.

What's really bad news is these turds still have three months in which to continue their "Just-Us."

5. ok..I have mixed feellings about this.
On the one hand...it's about time.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

On the other hand, remember how the "fired" guys kept showing up in the same place, just in aa different office, or a different job?
So now we gotta go track down the lil scumbag all over again so we can keep an eye on him.

6. Dog, can we please get competence back into the government? Please.
Hey, one positive coming from the economic crisis.... there will be a lot of talented people looking for work, so there should be good pool from which to pull to get our government restaffed.
