Chrysler Loses Second Top Executive In 4 Days
Source: Associated Press

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Chrysler LLC lost its second top executive in less than four days, announcing that its senior vice president for parts and service has decided to leave the company.

Chrysler said in a statement that Simon Boag, senior vice president for global service and parts, will exit to pursue other interests.

His departure comes just days after the exit of Senior Vice President for Purchasing John Campi. Chrysler said Friday he was leaving for health reasons.

Boag's duties will be assumed by Executive Vice President of North American Sales Steven Landry.

4. I'd like to propose myself....
As Chrysler Senior Vice President for global service and parts. I am somewhat qualified...I worked in automotive and truck service as a parts manager for nearly 15 years. In the late 70's when chrysler redesigned their ballast resistor and every new car chuggged to a stop (older posters may remember that) and lay dead for weeks, I had already heard of the debacle and bought a dozen early aftermarket replacements before they disappeared-this in spite of the fact I was managing a truck fleet parts center (Ryder Truck Rental) consisting of Fords, Macks, And Internationals for tractors and Fords and GMCs for transient straight trucks. Believe me that people I dealt with ate shit and owed me huge for each salesman's new car put back on the road...if I recall correctly those 12 resistors cost under $100 and I guarantee I leveraged them way over 50 to one.

So now I'm a retired old guy, but a job opening in a company on the verge of bankruptcy can't be THAT desirable...I'll take 1/2 the old guys salary and perks and promise not to bitch when you go belly up...How about it Chrysler-I couldn't do worse and expect NO parachute-I'll treat this as seasonal work like a temp at Walmart...looks like the pay is better and as long as I'm not trampled to death I promise not to sue. I've already proven more valid experience for your job than Michael Brown did for FEMA director. And I understand he did a heck of a job...

8. Exactly..
If they go bellyup, they may only get a small portion of the assets whereas they can get everything in their fat contracts right now.
